I get a big kick out of being with people
at the precise moment when they
become so delighted.
I often look in wonder at the pictures I create and wonder
"Where did that come from?"
and I wish that I could see my work with your fresh eyes.

in Portland at the Clinton Street fair on Saturday July 26 2008.
It gives me so much pleasure to be surrounded by crowds of
delighted people. I don't know anything else
I could do which would have such an impact, and cause so much genuine delight as
doing face painting
for free in the sunshine at a street fair not far from where I live here in
Portland.
