Q:   Is there anything special I need to do to take care of my airbrushed poster?

A:         The airbrush colors I use on the pictures are ink, not paint. Some colors are made with commercial wood stain powder mix.  I mix the powdered dye with denatured alcohol until get the intensity I want. (reflex and process blue, magenta, green). Other colors are called "Flexogleem" commercial printing ink also diluted with denatured alcohol. This kind of printing ink is not manufactured any more, thus my interest in using the wood stain inks.

I like that alcohol based inks offer very bright, almost florescent colors. They dry fast: alcohol ink dries as soon as it touches the paper, The ink I use has no smell - it is odor free. i have installed a fan and filter system in the back of my drawing board so as to alleviate the possibility of breathing the overspray. It washes off my skin with soapy water and a small scrub brush, and it can be easily removed from a mall floor (using a mixture of powder cleaner like AJAX and household bleach applied using rubber gloves and a roll of paper towels).

TO AVOID FADING, IT IS BEST TO DISPLAY YOUR PICTURE AWAY FROM DIRECT SUNLIGHT
